We are committed to safeguarding the privacy of our web site visitors. This policy explains what information we may collect about you and your visits to our web site, how we use them, and about use of cookies on our web site.

The web site has been developed using software bought from Serif Ltd.
The Internet Service Provider (ISP) for the Comets Sports Club web site and all the e-mail sent to xxx@comets.org.uk is handled by a third party, Heart Internet Ltd.
4. Policy validity
This policy is valid when the Comets Sports Club web site is accessed for 1 day from the time it is loaded by a client on any equipment used to view this web site. We reserve the right to update or amend this Privacy Policy at any time and your continued use of the web site following any changes shall be deemed an acceptance of any such change. It is therefore your responsibility to check the Privacy Policy regularly for any changes.
5. Information collection and use
The Comets Sports Club web site uses analytic software provided by a third party, currently it is Google Analytics, for the purpose of analysing the web traffic generated by the Comets Sports Club web site.
For each visitor to our web site, a log of all HTTP requests for objects on our web site is held in compliance with the Terms & Condition’s of Heart Internet Ltd. This includes:
- client IP address
- request date and time
- page requested
- HTTP code
- HTTP referrer
- user agent
- bytes transferred
We use this data for the following purposes:
- Web site administration
- anonymous user analysis
- anonymous user profiling and decision-making
- anonymous marketing and advertisement purposes
We do not collect personally identifiable information on our web site.
If you choose to correspond with us through email, we may retain the content of your email messages together with your email address and our responses. This information is for our internal use only and it's not passed to third parties unless it is required, as described in Clause 10 : Information Disclosure.

We use Google Analytics to analyse and generate reports about the use of our web site. Google Analytics generates statistical and other information about the Comets Sports Club web site by the use of cookies. The generated information is stored by Google UK and it is governed by Google’s Privacy Policies.
9. Linked web sites
Our web site contains hyperlinks to external web sites, owned and operated by third parties. These web sites have their own privacy policies over which the Comets Sports Club has no control and you should review them as we do not accept any responsibility or liability for the privacy practices of such third party web sites and your use of such web sites is entirely at your own risk.
10. Email security
Emails sent to us may not be secure. For that reason, we ask that you do not send confidential information to any e-mail address used by the Comets Sports Club. All e-mails are actively scanned by security and anti virus products controlled by third parties, as well as similar products locally installed products on a recipients PC. If the mail content is found to contain unsuitable material such as a virus, trojans, pornographic content, etc, then the e-mail will be automatically quarantined and deleted by the third party, or on the recipients PC without Comets Sports Club being aware that an e-mail has been sent. Given the inherent operation and nature of the Internet, all email transmissions are done at the originator’s own risk. Even e-mails that do not contain any unsuitable material still may or may not reach the intended recipient due to a variety of reasons not under the control of the Comets Sports Club.
In addition to the disclosures reasonably necessary for the purposes identified elsewhere in this privacy policy, we may disclose personal information about you:
- to the extent that we are required to do so by law
- in connection with any legal proceedings or prospective legal proceedings
- in order to establish, exercise or defend our legal rights
Except as provided in this privacy policy, we will not provide your information to third parties.
